Thank you, Lord, for the bald eagle that we watched on the nest at Lake Wilhelm.
As we approached the lake, our eyes were drawn to the speck of white off in the distance; and with the aid of binoculars, we watched the bald eagle tend the nest! Even with the lens at 480mm, I had to do a lot of cropping to get this image; and I'm sure thankful for Lightroom. It's interesting to note that an average bald eagle nest weighs about 2,000 pounds, which is about one ton!
Holy Moly Janet!!! Not only a fabulously wonderful photo, but I'd never have come close in guessing the weight of her nest!!! That's astounding! Great information!!!
