Today I learned the difference between leaves that clasp the stem and leaves that don't clasp the stem thanks to Daisy Fleabane. Daisy's leaves have no stalk, which makes them look like they clasp the stem; but true clasping leaves clasp so tight that they actually wrap around the stem. Tricky little thing, that Daisy Fleabane.
I praise you, Lord, for Daisy Fleabane with its stalkless-yet-not-clasping leaves next to the mailbox.
