These two Silver-spotted Skippers took a short break from their rambunctious flights in, of all places, the butterfly garden. This section of the grill bed lures many butterflies with its nectar-rich flowers. Soon the Common Milkweed will bloom, and we'll be watching for Monarchs!
I praise you, Lord, for beautiful butterflies in the garden.
@helenhall@milaniet@sunnygirl@janeandcharlie@lyndemc Thank you all for commenting on the Silver-spotted Skippers! I've hit a busy stretch and have been unable to post each day. We have a wedding in the family, and the planning is keeping me quite busy! :) I hope to pop in as much as I can and then get back on track at some point. Thanks again!
I gotta plant me some Milkweed. I forget which species I was told would be a native plant here, but I will maybe make that happen for next year (leaving seeds in the freezer over the winter according to my master gardener friend).
