We drove down to Coos Bay yesterday for my granddaughter's dance recital. I would have loved to post photos from that but after the recent taking of 365 member's photos from the site and posting them elsewhere, I am nervous about posting any photos of my grandkids. On the way down there we stopped at Dellenback Dunes to give Pearl a run and the light was such that it defined the edges well so I took some shots. Best on black if you have tie and inclination.
Thanks so much for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs and for taking my Grand Canyon reedit to the PP
@365karly1 We had a thread on this a few weeks back too - it turned out that some photos have been put onto someone's website as a link. Most were via a Chinese website and some were posted via this person onto Pinterest. If you want to stop that happening on any specific photos, you can go into edit on that picture and change its privacy from Public to Restricted. If you edit your followers list, you can choose who sees your restricted photos but it is limited to only those among your followers that you choose.
It depends how happy you are about having your images linked and placed on other websites. Some people don't mind, some people mind a lot. from Casablanca
@jgpittenger Oh gosh, I must've missed that piece of news Jane. What a low and sneaky thing to do, I hope bad karma comes with the theft. Thanks for posting the information and a way to restrict viewing of anything at all sensitive. Good to know these things.
I agree - I restrict all my photos now just a day or two after posting them. At least then people can see them, but then any link after that doesn't work.
Beautiful dune image. Makes me think of Lawrence of Arabia!
These are so majestic with their incredible shapes and faces. It's such an imposing scene reinforced by the way the dunes are claiming the old timbers on the left.
