Five a day

OK - so a diary shot today - taken and posted purely to avoid failing at the no-filler thing before the first week is out... Rachel's friends are coming for dinner - she is making a Halal and gluten free dish so we walked Monty to the park via the Halal grocers. The chicken breasts she bought are enormous - we'll be on chicken all week! A good price too so I may go back but not for bananas - I like mine just passed green.
Meanwhile thanks for the amazing response to my 'Pea souper' photo - really hugely appreciated along with the new Follows too. There's some great stuff on PP - lovely to see lots of new work. I've posted another photo from yesterday in Extras - sorry about the overload.

A proper greengrocers wares.....much nicer than a supermarket display. Some chicken fillets you get from a proper butchers are enormous & as you say cost a fortune.......too big I think but not big enough to make them do two people! If they have Ny label on them they will be even worse....hope you are making yourself scarce!

I'm with you on the bananas! Who would buy them like this! The apples are so red and the bright onions make a good colour contrast with the rest. Could you not get rid of those bananas in the photo?

I love shots like this...totally appeals to my Foodie side. Those bananas are just about perfect for making banana nut bread/muffins.

I'd pressed fav before reading your commentary - I love this shot. Graham and I are like Mr and Mrs J Spratt when it comes to nanas. I like them almost green too.
