On the way to Granchester? by judithg

On the way to Granchester?

I have upgraded the firmware on my Fuji X-100 and it seems to have cured the exposure problems I was having. In fact I really enjoyed using it today and I like the colours the Velvia setting gives - this is just cropped a little. I realised when I uploaded that it was a vicar on the bike - it reminded me of that Granchester series with James Norton riding up and down King's Parade every two minutes. (This is St John's Street but near enough). A day of about 5 halves weather wise - horrible when I cycled in to town, lovely when I returned, then rain again..... I accidentally bought a chair in John Lewis while looking for curtain inspiration - the price was slashed because it wobbles but it doesn't wobble when you sit on it - will have to go back if we can't find it a space!
In sad news my Great Auntie Marjorie died this morning - partly I feel blessed - that at 50 I still had a member of my grandad's generation alive, that she appears to have died very peacefully and definitely that we visited her in the summer before it was too late.
Awesome you bought an X100??
GREAT camera...I miss mine so much. I am always thinking of getting another one... think it will be a great camera to carry around with you.

Lovely picture.

@stevecameras I bought it second hand a while back but couldn't get on with it - loved it today though - think the upgrade has cured a few glitches.

@judithg I'm glad. I would say just keep shooting with it. It's an awesome camera.

Like the lead of bikes into those great buildings. Bonus person on bike too! The colours are really lovely and crisp in this. Do you have an eye view on this camera or view through screen? I am impressed that you can accidentally buy a chair!

Great definition here and everything in focus. Yes definitely reminds me of the TV programme.

Love the vicar on a bike shot!
And I love how you 'accidentally' bought a chair...even better that it was a great deal.
I'm very sorry about the death of your Great Aunt Marjorie. It sounds like she enjoyed a good, long life...may we all be so blessed.

I was in John Lewis earlier too - bought a rather nice dress! I really like this capture and the title is just right. Sorry to hear about your aunt.

I wish I could ride with him - I miss riding my bike through Cambridge so much! But in our new appartment (same city but with garden and balcony, yay!) we'll finally have a space for bikes and a bike trailer so there will be some biking in the future. May Marjorie rest in peace.

Expensive camera this one but looks nice and compact. Vicar on a bike reminds me of the one in "Keeping up Appearances' where he falls off when Mrs Bouquet (Bucket) leaps out at him!

Ooo I loved Granchester - will there be more?!? Saw James Norton in Happy Valley and he was not a bit endearing - quite frightened me!!
