I think this may be the first time that rapeseed has featured in my 365 project - seems a bit of an omission but it's not that easy to get a good photo with it. After throwing a bit of a strop at the slowness of the Post Office I took Monty out to Histon - not actually expecting to see this so it was a nice surprise.
Rather an odd lunch in 'Syrens' in Cambridge - we were only looking because everywhere was full and got dragged in to be the only diners for quite a while. It was fine - good service and decent food but lacking atmosphere- think it may be better in the evenings.
Looking forward to the temps going back up over the weekend.
Your title sounds like the way a lot of Appalachian mountain folk talk... I'm one of 'em. Lovely photo... beautiful the way the blue sky and yellow flowers contrast!
We don't have rape fields near us but I saw some fab fields on the way back from the airport last Wednesday.....couldn't really stop on the M6 though! So bright it hurts your eyes sometimes! This is a real show stopper.
Did you look over the fence for this picture - the yellow fields that I see all have high fences! Good to get the focus on the front flowers to see what they are really like!
I have never seen rapeseed growing anywhere in the states - I am sure it must. The fields I saw in Europe just took my breath away. Thank you for sharing so I can relive the awe.
Simply stunning! So well composed with the lines of colors and textures. Really beautiful.
I hope you have a delightful, warm weekend! Hoping for the same here.
Thank you for your comments Judith. I have not been around lately and therefore lost all my 'friends'! When we were coming in to land at Stanstead the yellow tapestry of fields was really picturesque. You have really captured the vibrancy here.
I hope you have a delightful, warm weekend! Hoping for the same here.
