I was determined to do the riverside walk again yesterday and Monty seemed more willing. Then he took himself down a steep bit of riverbank and embedded himself in a load of reeds. I had to slide down and drag him out by his harness. I made him go as far as the swan's nest from last year - she is sitting on eggs again but they are much further away down a drainage channel. So Monty will be spared for a while as I will keep an eye on punt swan instead....
@grizzlysghost Well it's mostly his imagination - I went down there by mistake when the boat races were on and they fire a cannon to start the races. He just will NOT forget!
Dogs have more brains than cats, I think! Our cat rushes into the pantry when I open the doors and very often gets shut in there for hours Never remembers!
