I've borrowed Rachel's camera for this and I'd like one myself really. It's a Nikon J series as used so deftly by @lucypics. I went with f5.6 for this and I'm pleased with the shallow depth of field. I'm hoping that on holiday Rachel may let me have a play. Apologies for the poor commenting at the moment - there seems to be a lot to do on top of the normal. Having everybody home has upped the requirement for food shopping - the cupboards just keep emptying - and there's a huge pile of post and pre holiday laundry to get through. Plus there is lots of 'stuff' that needs clearing out so I can get cleaned up before our house-sitters arrive. There's a graduation before we go away and a 21st birthday party as soon as we get back. A decent night's sleep would help!
Great hen shot Judith.......I have a little camera envy too at the moment. I haven't been that happy with my photos lately somehow especially macro shots...I am eying up different cameras but can't afford just yet!
Your hens look so healthy. Harry has three new ones, I must try & get a photo!
Gorgeous shot. Such a sharp eye. Love the colour tones too. Empty cupboards and washing sounds like our house.....my 6 year old eats a ridiculous amount I DREAD to think how much he will consume as a teenager. @happypat What camera are you eyeing up? My list is ever long and growing with cameras but I have to not ask for a while now that I've had a very big treat recently!
@newbank None specifically I just fancy a change! My daughter bought her hubby & daughter cameras for their birthdays. Cannon, not sure of the model & only about £120 each but it films a short video the moment before you press the button....I was fascinated....really small to fit in pocket too. How cameras have come on!
Gorgeous. Love the perspective and colour and you can't beat a freshly laid egg!
I smile thinking about it as the day I returned to school (after being off with back issues in May) one of my lovely boys brought me a freshly laid egg and a sweet card he'd made.....will remember it every time I see hens I'm sure!
