Red hot pokers

A beautiful day for an afternoon walk by the river. I parked up in Newnham and wandered through the little nature reserve and spotted these in the verges of the path you have to take to get there - somebody does better with those verges than I do with our actual garden. In other news I've taken 'next door cat' to the vet and paid for expensive blood tests but it seems like it may be bad teeth that's causing the weight loss.

Wonderful DOF and focus....and, kudos for you for taking "next door cat" to the vet.....I, too have a very soft spot for animals that appear to not be well taken care of, mine or somebody else's. FAV!!
