Not a stork by judithg

Not a stork

Nigel treated Monty to some decent ball throwing on our way to the Sunday market and my favourite bread stall. Everybody was busy looking at a couple of swans asleep on the bank of the stream that runs alongside Jesus Green and not noticing this nonchalant chap. He gave me plenty of time to get my camera out and then let me get pretty close. A man and his daughters also stopped - he told them he thought it was a stork while giving me a, 'I've no idea really look' so I told him the right answer - a stork in Cambridge would have been really exciting. The bread didn't disappoint either.
Nice capture!!

He looks like Mr Grumpy Heron actually! In a really bad mood because he hasn't got his tea yet and everybody is pointing at him! Monty can't have been around!
