The chapel at All Souls graveyard is now a studio and museum for stonemason calligrapher Eric Marland who trained in the studio of David Kindersley - behind the chapel I found a pile of projects that didn't quite make it including, sadly, 'Concrete Poetry'. walking there was definitely the highlight of an otherwise extremely frustrating day - so annoying that I can't even write it out!
Could you take any you liked home? I woukd fancy a bit of stone mason work, the lettering is rather nice! You could make up a story to fit the letters. Conk Ret Poet.....easy!
