If I could be bothered to go back to 4th Jan 2012 I think I would find a photo of a previous Christmas display in this shop. This one I noticed for the first time today while walking Monty so I’ve clearly been a bit blind before Christmas.
Later I cycled in to town to go to the bank etc and rather wished I hadn’t as the wind is getting a bit feisty again. Anyway it was worth it for afternoon tea with friends (literally just tea but we watched others having the full sandwich, two scones and three slabs of cake affairs which really should last all week) before I get over loaded with school governance tasks again.
I wonder if Yolanda has a Christmas job here! @maggiemae poeople haecsuch great ideas for windows, very creative! I would love to be able to cycle into town & meet friends for coffee, I have a big hill which really puts me off!
@happypat It’s lovely usually but gave me a real headache today. In the days of no car when I cycled everywhere I remember going to the lab in sub zero temps and getting off because of the wind chill and then getting back on because it was too cold to walk and repeating that all the way home. Today I was over heating!
I've no idea how you watch someone having cake without having any yourself.
