A day off from filling holes and decorating - much needed as I was thoroughly frustrated by it. Nigel and I had a nice walk into town where we got a call from A&C saying they were coming back home from Norfolk, bringing a couple of friends & one was staying. We headed home via St John’s, checked out the Virginia Creeper, cleaned the bathrooms, changed a bed and were halfway through hoovering when they arrived. Adam managed to climb over all the stuff that’s stored in our little spare room so the girls could have the other room. Anyway, still no food on the house but we did manage to get a table at a nice Thai place that’s a bit off the tourist route. A date with the movie room and Spectre rounded off a good day.
Love watching the ivy change. Used to have it on our house and it looked like a fire-breathing dragon. Until I realized it was damaging the brick. The year after I tore it all down, some little ivy plants started coming up, so I hand weeded. Turns out it was poison ivy. Not one of my better moments,
