A minor miracle

I don't know if it works having the sheep a bit out of focus but taking any sort of picture in a field of sheep while holding a spaniel in one hand is almost impossible so here we go. And it shows the folly that the people in the other shot are walking up to: http://365project.org/judithg/365/2011-08-10
that's a lovely shot too

@happypat I'm assuming you've got a folly for Henry Pat!!

Very pastoral scene. Lovely summer calm.

Well done it can be quite difficult trying to take photos and handle dogs . The folly looks interesting

@judithg Hehe well he has a home made shelter if that counts !!! Not what you would call a proper state of the art folly !!

Well done on a nice shot while dog walking!

A pretty good shot considering your circumstances, in fact the focus gives the sheep a kind of softness.

Good job. I dont bring the camera anymore when I walk Cookie.

it does work Judith, rather well actually. I can sympathise about dog and camera in different hands. Most of my local 'Arnold' shots are with whippet and lead in left hand !!

Wow, this is really cool! Love the castle!

I am still trying out what a "folly" is?

From Wikipedia -"They have no purpose other than as an ornament. Often they have some of the appearance of a building constructed for a particular purpose, but this appearance is a sham". Oh, so it's like the word "folly" I know. Just architectural.

Lovely scenery shot, love how the eye is drawn to the foreground and the background.

@bpaquette That's right no purpose - built by people with lots of money & large estates just to look nice. Still that part works in this case!

@judithg @bpaquette I, too, had no clue what a "folly" was in this situation. Not an American thing, I guess. What a concept! Our rich people who want to waste their money usually just buy some expensive car. haha....it is very pretty. So you cannot even go in the tower part or anything? Weird. I love the framing of this photo with the slightly off focus sheep in the foreground.

@espyetta @bpaquette I think it isbeing renovated so that's it's safe at the moment and then I expect you will be able to go in the tower - but it was built to look like a ruin and was never lived in. There is a company that makes folly kits - you can buy a really nice ruin for you garden for about £2000!!
