Warkworth Show by judithg

Warkworth Show

We were lucky to be in Warkworth when the village show was on. It is quite a small affair but it's set in the grounds of Warkworth Castle which is rather nice. Here we have classes for 'A creature made from vegetables', 'leeks', 'a vase of flowers'. I'm afraid you're going to have to imagine the 'Heaviest potato' and 'Plate of Cress' categories though I do have photos!
The very elderly man next door to our holiday cottage said that it's the same every year so he only needs to go once every few years!
that's another lovely collection - and O-o for the old guy - cynic that he is

A creature made from vegetables ...now that's an idea !! We're always looking for new classes in our show & this looks a fun idea !! Lovely collage Judith & it really gives an intimate feel of a local show ! Shame on your little old neighbour but I know what he means that is why you have to change & move every year ! The show may be small but the location is very special indeed..not many country shows with such a back drop !!

@happypat It was splendid - this part was enclosed by castle Walls - another turret behind me. I'll have to look at the other classes - photography was very popular including a class of photos of 'Warkworth Show'. There was 'garden on a plate' but you probably do that already.

I'll have to look out for this but we will probably miss it by a few days as we go on 5th Aug for one week. Thanks for the links to these older photos, I enjoyed my sneak preview of the area!
