Doggoned wet feet by judithg

Doggoned wet feet

I would have entered this in the 'Photobomb' competition as I was trying to jst take the lamp when Monty wandered into the shot but I took it on the 31st. So he's here for the wet feet theme instead. Photo inverted.
gorgeous!
i go Faved

Wow, such an interesting shot!
January 5th, 2012
This is awesome! I was thinking about trying something like this the other day, but I didn't have such interesting reflections. The cobblestones add a very special feel to this; I love this, a fav!
January 5th, 2012
I love this! It's fantastic. A fav!
January 5th, 2012
Beautiful!
January 5th, 2012
Great reflection and lighting
January 5th, 2012
A wonderful reflection although poor Monty does look like he was a bit bedraggled & head down dying to get home, probably thinking 'this darn woman is dragging me on another photo shoot '' !! Great wet feet entry ! A winner for sure Judith !
January 5th, 2012
@happypat He and Nigel both!
January 5th, 2012
that's so mean! I had to look at it for something that felt like ages to realize you turned it upside down!
Now that I can see it! amazing! :)
well done!
January 5th, 2012

January 5th, 2012

January 5th, 2012
So much for his grooming! I love this. So DOG. The reflection is great too. And I like how he is bumping heads with the reflected lamp.
January 5th, 2012
That's brilliant - I expect you had to towel him off when you got him home but I bet he enjoyed himself. Love the lighting and reflections
January 5th, 2012
@june That would have made a funny shot!
January 5th, 2012
Excellent shot - took me a little while to work out what wasn't quite right and what you had done!
January 5th, 2012
I think Monty makes it! Brilliant.
January 5th, 2012
A fav from me (predictably!) great shot.
January 5th, 2012
Really great shot of furry wet feet!
January 5th, 2012
My first thought was - awesome reflection - then it became very unsettling when I realized there was something odd about the lamp post - it must have been hanging from the sky....THEN I realized you had inverted it (had I read on I would have gotten it too). Well done. Poor Monty.
January 5th, 2012
I puzzled over this one for a while because the lamp post should be upside down.... then realized that it had been flipped! Silly me - Great shot!
January 5th, 2012
Oh wonderful shot, great reflections.
January 5th, 2012
Go Monty! You've done it again. Wonderful even if it was a bomb. Fav!
January 5th, 2012

January 5th, 2012
Nice shot Judith. Love the reflection and the cobblestones.
January 5th, 2012
well judith here's me struggling for shot and doing house macros and here's you doing a stunning puddle shot.............i'm sure monty knew that a 'dog in puddle' would make for a better shot with more impact. I think he is 365 savvy :)
January 5th, 2012
Brilliant shot Judith.
January 5th, 2012
Fav :-) I just love how Monty seems to be admiring his mirror image while carefully walking through the puddle. Great composition and crisp reflection! Been thinking about reflection shots in puddles too, but the wind had them all completely rippled ;-)
January 6th, 2012
this is very cool, I like taking reflection shots and flipping them upside down, looks like he is saying hello to the dog in the puddle
January 6th, 2012

Fantastic! Reflections and cobbles ..
January 7th, 2012
nice shot!
January 7th, 2012
so tricky! a fav from me!
January 8th, 2012
Amazing shot! I love the cobbles and Monty is so handsome! My husband was convinced that it was photoshopped but you don't usually do many of those tricky shots, so I doubted it. Flipped my laptop upside down and there it was! Great idea!
January 8th, 2012
Amazing shot. You are sooo good at reflections!
January 8th, 2012
Love this shot- good eye!
January 8th, 2012
Wonderful shot. Great idea to invert it. A fav
January 9th, 2012
Did this shot make it to the PP ever? Kept expecting to see it there but may have missed it. Not that it matters, but I'm just curious!
January 10th, 2012
@rich57 No - and it got 30 Favs as well... And yesterday's got 14 and that isn't appearing either - I must be out of favour. As you say it doesn't matter but I am sulking a bit today!!
January 10th, 2012
@judithg oh dear, you must have upset those monkeys! Maybe it's all down the all the newbies and somehow that's affecting the algorithims? I mean 30 favs would normally guarantee top 10 weekly status let alone PP. But you know, us old skoolers are above all that! I bet yesterdays will be on there later though!
January 10th, 2012
@rich57 It's fair enough or newbies would never get on PP - I'll just have to rise above the power of the PP and work on my own artistic satisfaction or some other rubbish!
January 10th, 2012
What an awesome shot!
January 13th, 2012
@judithg @rich57 this picture deserved PP indeed. This is marvelous. One of the best i've seen this week. The inverted image is fantastic. Took me a while to understand.
January 14th, 2012
great inversion...I was looking at it and saying....." just what did she do here?" LOL Must love dogs. Must love reflective photos.
