Diversity

This beautiful historic building at the corner of Anawan Avenue and Route 44 in Rehoboth has served quite a diverse set of functions. The building was originally the Union Baptist Church of Rehoboth. While I can find no reference to it online, the emblem near the peak indicates it served as a Masonic Temple at some point in its past. The building is now a Grange Hall and is frequently rented out for a variety of functions.

I didn't have anything specific in mind when I started the post processing, other than I wanted a monochrome treatment. I started out with a Vibrance filter in Topaz Adjust, and then layered a Highlights Recovery filter on top of that. From there I adjusted the levels and added a black and white gradient in multiply blend mode. I adjusted the levels again, and then added a cream to powder blue gradient map in color blend mode. Another levels adjustment was followed by a deep yellow photo filter. I adjusted the contrast a bit, and then applied a final levels adjustment to finish the image.

@yentlski Thanks, Jim. I'm fascinated by history, so there's certainly be a lot more of this nature as time passes.
