This interesting rustic looking door is on an equally ancient looking house that appears to come from the mid-1700s. There is no historic marker on the house, and I suspect it's due to some non-compliant modifications. There are some energy saving windows on the house that are very anachronistic, and even this door does not appear to be authentic to the time period. Both of those would disqualify it from an historical registry in RI. Still, it's a beautiful house and a fascinating door.
For post processing, I ran this through a Crisp filter in Topaz Adjust. That produced the very interesting texture you see here. A levels adjustment was followed by a black and white gradient map in darker color blend mode, and then one more levels adjustment was added as the top layer. There was no need to add either a photo filter or a saturation adjustment since the prior steps produced the effect I wanted.
