First, let me state up front that the dragon is NOT Photoshopped into the scene. The building is the Children's Museum in downcity Providence, and they really do have that dragon perched on the roof. My guess is it's to help keep the kids in line. "Misbehave and we feed you to the dragon!" I know it would've worked for me. Now, for some reason, Rhode Island loves to stick odd things on top of buildings. If I can ever find a good vantage point from which to shoot it, you'll get to see the infamous "Big Blue Bug" overlooking Interstate 95 just south of the city. No wonder our ancestors were kicked out of the Massachusetts Bay Colony almost 400 years ago.
Not much was done to process this photo. Since switching to manual mode on the camera, I find I need to do far less to the image. I ran this through a photo pop filter in Topaz Adjust and then made a slight tweak to the levels adjustment, but that's it.
I think it is to keep kids in line.......I've taken Aaron over there so many times, and for some reason, he was always very well behaved ;-) Great shot, Ron :-)
Thanks, everyone! I found this on a site that lists "Rhode Island Oddities." It definitely qualifies. I still haven't found a location from which to shoot the Big Blue Bug, though!

And you HAVE to get a shot of the blue bug... maybe I'll try for one next time I'm stuck in I-95 traffic!
