I really wasn't sure what I wanted to shoot today, so I went over to Stump Pond in Smithfield just to see what was going on worthy of a shot. There was a couple playing in the water with this young and frisky pup. I managed to get this shot of him attacking his waterlogged nerf football. Of course, it was the only candid shot I could get since, once he heard the shutter he wouldn't take his eye off the camera. Adorable pup, though, and he was in just the perfect spot to capture the light while leaving everything around him in shadow. I couldn't have planned that better if I had posed him myself.
Post processing was extremely basic. I applied a brilliant warm filter in Topaz Adjust and then made a slight levels tweak. Everything else is as shot.
