've often wondered who the first farmer was that decided selling dried out corn stalks to tourists was a great way to eliminate - and profit from - the useless remains of a spent crop. It was a brilliant idea, and we've since come to associate these dried out husks with autumn and, more specifically, with Halloween. This farmer is selling his stalks for $5.50 each. Not bad for something he'd otherwise just grind for compost.
Post processing started with a detail light filter in Topaz Adjust. I made slight adjustments to the contrast, adaptive exposure, and adaptive saturation sliders. In PSE I added a levels adjustment followed by a blue gradient map in soft light blend mode just to the sky.
