I went to India Point at lunch today for another session with my 50mm. I'm definitely rediscovering my love for a 50mm prime lens. There were several runners and walkers as well as a few tautog fishermen at the park today, but it was this girl and her dog that really caught my attention. I spotted them coming down this cobblestone path - which can't be much fun on a bike - and positioned myself for a shot. She spotted the camera right away (as did the pup) and broken into a huge smile. When she passed me, she turned, grinned, and thanked me for taking the photo. I never had the opportunity to ask why, though.
Post processing started with a simple pop filter in Topaz Adjust. I then adjusted the adaptive exposure, contrast, protect highlights, and adaptive saturation sliders. A slight levels adjustment was added in PSE.
Ha! Nice action shot. I like how the dog is looking right at you! The boy who lives next door to us walks his dog on his bike too. I always think its funny to see!
