Cross Country Travelers by kannafoot

Cross Country Travelers

I went downcity at lunch for street photography, and as usual I stopped at the Roger Williams National Memorial. I spotted this gentleman sitting on the wall with his two golden retrievers and thought it would make an interesting scene. It turns out that he, his wife, and his two pups are on a cross-country vacation. They're from Utah, and have already traveled the west coast, then east via Route 2 through all of the northern states. They're now heading south through New England and will end up in D.C. before beginning the trek back to Utah. His dogs did demand payment for the photo, though. Typical of golden retrievers, I had to spend about twenty minutes petting them before they'd let me head back to my car.

Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, and boost white. A levels adjustment and a sepia photo filter were added in PSE.
