I went downcity for some street photography today, and on a whim I wandered up towards Benefit Street. Near the top of the hill, I spotted this painter adding a coat to one of the historic 18th century buildings in Providence. The concept of a ladder spread across the sidewalk on Friday the 13th did amuse me. All that was missing was a black cat. The very bright sky proved challenging, though, which necessitated the very tight crop.
Post processing started with a Dynamic II Grunge filter in Topaz B&W FX. I then adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment and a sepia photo filter were added in PSE.
