These two businessmen came out of the Capital Center and proceeded along the waterfront. I'm not sure where they were headed, but I do know they are not native Rhode Islanders. You see, the man in the back waited for the light to signal "walk" and both of them stayed within the crosswalk. They are clearly from out-of-state! We Rhode Islanders know that crossing a street downcity is a competition with the traffic that we must win at all costs. Staying between the lines gives the cars a definite advantage, so we simply don't do it. Think of it like the pedestrian version of third and goal from the one. You simply put your head down and go for it!
Post processing started with a brilliant warm filter in Topaz Adjust. I then adjusted adaptive exposure, contrast, and protect highlights. From there I applied a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
