A Light Dusting

The forecast for today was for a light dusting of snow. That forecast must have come from the same folks that had me shoveling 40 inches of "Partly Cloudy" back in '78. Well, today we got closer to 5 inches. Not significant, but far more than what I'd call a "light dusting." When I set out for my photo, I remembered this small playground at Sabin Point and thought it would provide an interesting setting to show the snowfall. It was snowing at the rate of about an inch an hour when I took this photo.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
@aponi There are two more storms on the way. If they both develop the way the models are showing, we'll have over 30 inches on the ground by this time next week.
this kind of snow would shut Charlotte down
As it says on the sign there
Play safe
