Light the Way

I see this scene (without the snow) every morning when I go out for my walk. I've always thought there was a photo opportunity here, if only I could find it. With the snow we got yesterday, I thought today would be a good opportunity to find out. It's still dark when I walk - okay, I go out for my walk at 5:00 AM, so color me insane - and it was the lighting I wanted to capture. Seeing the lights from cars traveling up Smithfield Road (since I'm not the only crazy guy out at that time of the morning) I thought it would improve the composition if I timed it so a car was lighting up the top of the street as well. It added some balance that was otherwise missing.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
