Tough Footing

I encountered this pair walking along the Blackstone River Bikeway this afternoon. The English Golden Lab is having a tough time dealing with the choppy snow and ice, but wants nothing more than to continue his walk. The pup is 14-years old, is blind in one eye, is loaded with benign fatty tumors, and has arthritis. Still, he's eager to get out for his walk every day. The only challenge this month has been the tough footing due to all the snow we've gotten.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
