I had very little time for a photo today, so I decided to check out Willett Pond in East Providence. It's very close to work and there's usually something photogenic to find there. It turns out this gentleman was fishing for trout along the shore. While I was talking to him, the mute swan in the photo swam over for a closer look. It turns out, this swan makes it a habit of hanging around where folks are fishing, and will make a play for anything they catch. Sadly, he didn't catch any fish while I was there, which I would love to have been able to photograph. I'll be back there, though. Since the swan frequents the pond while the fishermen are around, it's only a matter of time before I catch him in action.
Post processing started with a neutral greyscale filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, and boost black. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
