Capron Pond Dam

It was supposed to rain today. In fact, I was counting on rain since I was really in the mood for some foul weather street photography. I waited as long as possible, but the rain never really materialized. That left me with the need for a "safety shot". This dam on Capron Road is only a couple of minutes from my house, and I've been meaning to take a photo while the water is high, so that's where I went this afternoon. Now, I thought I'd be able to get down the bank to photograph it from the water, but it turns out the bank is a steep wall that ended in a marshy area. This was the only vantage point that had a reasonable view of the waterfall. It'll suffice, for now!
Post processing started with a neutral greyscale filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, protect highlights, and details. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
Very nice capture of the water, Ron. I think it's part of the fun of photography to set out to photograph something and come away with something completely different.
