Overflowing

This stretch of waterfront along the Seekonk River is very popular for fishing through most of the summer. Someone thoughtfully placed this rusty old trash can in one of the more popular spots. There's only one minor problem with the concept. Whoever placed the barrel here neglected to consider the process by which the barrel would be periodically emptied. Ah, well. I guess it's the thought that counts.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
