Yellow Lab

I went to Lincoln Woods after work today, and on a whim I decided to check out the boat ramp area. I don't normally go down to that section of the pond, but today I'm glad I did. There was a young couple playing fetch with their very energetic Yellow Labrador Retriever. The pup would dive into the pond and swim out about ten feet, and tread water waiting for the ball to be tossed. When she heard the splash of the ball hitting the water, she'd quickly paddle out there, scoop up the ball, and swim in for the next toss. I watched this action for about 20 minutes before asking the couple how long it took to for the dog to tire of the game. The young lady shrugged and said they'd been there for an hour and a half so far and the dog was showing no signs of slowing down. Yep. That's a yellow lab, for you.
Post processing started with a neutral filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
You can just see the pure excitement on that pups face! Instantly brought a smile to my face! Love this capture Ron, just as much as I love yellow labs! (Which is a lot!)
