Casks

It's no secret that Oktoberfest season is my favorite time of year. The microbreweries start to release their annual Oktoberfest beers around the end of August, and the objective, naturally, is to sample as many as possible before the supply runs out around late October or early November. I stopped at Nikki's Liquors today to pickup what remaining Oktoberfests I could find. Nikki's is in a new location, and they've setup a very nice tasting room where they hold wine, beer, or spirits tastings every week. These beautiful Allagash Wine Casks are used as tables for the tastings. I'd love to have one of these for my home, but it would naturally have to be full...
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
You like Oktoberfest! Oh my! Let's change countries! I hate it! :D
Yes I know this is not very German but I've never liked it somehow :( Great picture though!
