@teiko thnakyou so much Emilie! I learnt about him fro a fellow 365er about a year ago & I love his work! He was very gifted & I think of his style as almost tongue-in-cheek modern-ism balance of realism, illustration & artistic beauty. http://www.audubon.org/birds-of-america I have blended a shot with a painting too - http://365project.org/ltodd/365/2016-01-14 just to see if I could get the photographic style correct. ( I can see some errors in it, but it turned out better than I had hoped for for my first attempt at merging the art & photo)
@katrin@seattlite that's total serendipity --- the duck engulfed by reflection of someone's red car being parked just out of the scene in my line of sight!!! I was annoyed about it as I shot, but when I downloaded the images I realised the red in the water links beautifully with the rust coloured reeds. I had not expected to like this composition until I saw it on the computer.
