Viscacha in progress

I was asked to provide some info on the editing and the starting image (1).

(2) I wanted a bit more space around the little fella so rotated him a little & reduced the size ( I wrongly dedcided to do this after I had already painted in the masks) and had to roughly paint in a matching colour to blend in the background because the canvas size was in essence made larger. I now see when I reduced the size of the start image I seem to have missed grabbing the perspective handle correctly, so he became a little longer & scrawnier than the original image.
(Ooops - live & learn from my mistakes!!)
(3) I have tried to label the PS layers to show blend mode & I think you can see a rough idea of the type of texture.

Feel free to ask any questions guys.

@taffy @grammyn @jgpittenger @sstcowan @radiogirl here is some info on the editing steps ladies - but I admit I made a lot of mistakes along the way with this one, so don't look at this as the way it 'should' be done! I am still winging it!!

Thanks Lyn for taking the time to try and explain this. It's a fabulous explanation but since I don't have PS a bit over my head! I really need to just spend the day trying to learn some of the stuff instead of waiting till the last minute for a shot. I'm really grateful to you for all you do

@grammyn I will get around to finding an easy layer tutorial for Gimp for you, and I think pixlr on line is also free, uses layers & is a bit easier to use.
