I can not decide if the sale of the original potato photo, or Rosie Kerr's take on it ( http://365project.org/rosiekerr/365/2016-01-29 ) is the more hilarious!!
http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/27141/the-million-dollar-challenge has the full discussion.

"Yes Mr Grocer, this is a large potato. Don't all your customers take ten minutes selecting a single potato to buy? Viewing it from every possible angle and carefully considering the light reflecting qualities of the attached dirt for each one?
Poor man, ...in the past I have asked to swap pears after he 'helpfully' pulled the stalks off the fruit for me, bought the 'broken' loaf of rustic bread he was throwing out, and even asked permission to take a photo of the row of tomato sauce bottles on the shelves. I wonder what he would make of this...

This is a scarf draped around the potato placed in front of a red pillowcase. The tiny bit of hair poking in is a little bit cloned in from Steve McCurry's iconic image http://photography.nationalgeographic.com/photography/photographers/afghan-girl-cover.html

Thanks @rosiekerr for giving me such a huge laugh this afternoon!!

@kerosene I did spend some time studying the positioning, lighting & colours in McCurrys shot. Anyone watching me 'pose' 'her , and then sculpt the light using an led torch, would have thought me crazy! :)
