brilliant composition, damon. the juxtaposition is so engaging, but i especially love how you managed to center the lamposts against those two windows. brilliant, i say!
Hmm not sure the back view from this house will be all that desirable; beautiful building, it is a house or an office - it would be some place to work wouldn't it?
@claireuk - I am not sure what it is. I just liked the contrast and the building itself. It seemed a small plot of sanity in a high-rise business area that was clearly out of control!
This is such a striking image - so much so that I know I've seen it before, on a browsing expedition on your website, I expect?
What a beautiful building! It's good that it has been preserved but I always feel sorry for these buildings that end up squeezed between high-rises; they look as if they are being suffocated and don't have adequate room to show off their full beauty.
@dulciknit - Yes, t'was on my website for an article. Yes, that suffocation thing is what drew my attention. It seemed almost ridiculous being stuck there among all those sky scrapers. Pretty bizarre really.
What a great shot of something old and something new. It makes you wonder if all the old houses like this will be a thing of the past and something only seen in photos or in a museum. Well done!
