It's almost popping out of the shot! You can feel it's flying. I love the red wheel I think it brings your eye in sharply. Great article just what I need.
My husband has been watching a lot of military history lately on tv- so this immediately makes me think of WWI. Were you up in another plane to take this? It feels like we're in the air with the pilot. And thanks again for the opportunity to write for you- it was both a pleasure and honor!!
Love the dramatic clouds and the light. Fab. clarity on that Gloster Gladiator (OK, I own up, Google is my friend ) and cool motion blur on the prop. That red wheel pulls it all together really well. Great capture.
How high a ladder were you using? 3:-)
@dulciknit - LOL... OK, hands up. There was no ladder. Note the green sheen on the under-wing? That is a reflection from the grass. That twin winged bad boy is coming in to land! So I was actually lying on Terra Firma and shooting upwards to get the clouds.
@dulciknit - The little bit of Terra Firma I was lying on is here... http://www.shuttleworth.org/
Check it out. The Summer airshows are really great photo-opportunities.
@dulciknit - You will both love it. There is also a birds of prey place there too. If you go to one of the shows then make a day of it. Go to Duckworth Nat War Museum in the morning, then see the birds of prey and the museum at Shuttleworth PM and the airshow in the evening. A great day out.
That sounds like a great day out, thank you very much for the ideas. I'll put them in my places to visit folder. We're always on the look out for something differentto go to and they have the bonus of being close by.
Love it. There was an airshow in the city next to mine. Listening and watching the planes fly by was amazing. Love it when the Blue Angels performed. Wow. Your pic looks almost parallel. Great detainl

Where's Terra Firma? Is it far from here?
Check it out. The Summer airshows are really great photo-opportunities.
