It has been said that the hour when the sun sets is the "golden hour". This is because the sun casts a golden hue on the earth as it sinks below the horizon for the night. That title was certainly true when we took a walk in the late afternoon alongside the farms which surround the Scarborough's home. Although the glorious fall colors are gone from the trees, there is still a great deal of Autumn's hues in the fields and grasses here. I loved the little hint of a barn just beyond the golden field in this shot. My thought is this- it is not just the golden hour because of nature's ways, but it is golden when you fill it with fitting activities and time well spent with the one you love.
