The Scarboroughs have several acres of land that also border a really nice farm. There is a very pretty pond just out of eyesight from their backyard. Just before everyone arrived for our Thanksgiving meal, Jeff and I took a stroll down to the pond so I could take some pictures. I really enjoyed getting close ups of many grasses and weeds. This shot was no exception. The color of the ground is so vibrant, but most of the flowers were like these burrs, brown and just a shadow of the way they were in the summer.
@sarasdadandmom Thank you Terry! @jmj Thanks Jennifer! @digitalrn Thanks Rick- sitckers is a good name for them. I was trying to be very careful and I still brought one inside attached to my sweater!

i have always told people that when you get into photography, especially as a hobby, you get to look at everything differently - anything has a lovely side to it. even the dried out plants. nice shot, ann.
@summerfield Thank you Summerfield- yes you do look at EVERYTHING differently. It's amazing how many unique and unexpected subjects are photographed on this site to become amazing pictures. @crickle1969 Thank you Crickle! It's so interesting to pay attention to those tiny details that you normally pass by.
