@karenann lol Karenann- I was parked in the car waiting for Jeff to pick up something. I was too lazy to get out!! @dmariewms Thank you Marie- see comment to Karenann! @kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @summerfield Thanks Summerfield- they may just be overgrown bushes- not sure. @potsbypam Thank you Pam! @bruni Thank you Bruni!
Glad you all enjoyed a good laugh.
@daveanajao Thanks Dave. It may look serene, but it's very unusual to see an out house in a neighborhood like this. I think it's supposed to be decorative and humorous. I'd be in shock if it was actually being used!
@changingtides lol Thanks Allie! @bkbinthecity Thanks bkb! @httpgeffed lol Apparently this family does! Thanks Colleen! @nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole! @cimes1 Thanks Carole! I added some color and saturation to the Lomo effect on this one. It was a bit subdued due to it being a cloudy day. @prttblues You are not seeing things Bev. (o: @mrssmith lol Thanks Carla!
@adobewaters Thank you Adobe- I must confess- I didn't even notice the roofs until several of you commented on them- I was so focused on the out house! @steeler Thanks Howard! I know how you feel. I feel overwhelmed when I miss just one day!
I am really getting a kick out of everyone's reactions to this shot. I honestly was not paying any attention to the details of this shot. I just wanted to capture the outhouse and I was too lazy to get out of the car. Taking shots with the zoom on my point and shoot is always an "iffy" process. It's very sensitive to any movement. I was waiting for Jeff to pick something up and I knew he wouldn't be long. It was an unfamiliar neighborhood, so I just shot it from the driver's seat in the car. I was more aware of the fences than the roof lines, but I liked the look of it when I processed it, so this shot won out as the shot of the day. It's only after everyone has been commenting on it that I've realized how well I composed it (fluke!!- because I wasn't really trying) and the comical sense of composition in contrast to the "real" houses. Thanks for your great comments and glad you got a good laugh out of this one.
