Pine Cone on Leaves by olivetreeann

Pine Cone on Leaves

Our internet connection went down on Tuesday so I haven't been able to post or view- boy do I feel overwhelmed at the prospect of catching up! But I am going to take my own advice and not try to do it all at once! So please bear with me over the next week as I slowly catch up on all your wonderful pictures!

The weather man has predicted we are about to get an inch of snow tonight. So after I brought some wood into the house today, I took a quick walk in the woods looking for something to photograph and came upon this pine cone. I've tried to take macro shots in the manual setting, but find that this camera really likes the preset macro better. I particularly liked the clarity of the leaves on this. It's cold today too! So, I'm glad to be inside with the wood stove now.
Nice textures

@prttblues Thanks Bev- I'm not sure which pine this belongs too (I'll have to figure that out) but they have a silvery hue to the cone.
@cimes1 Carole I'm so behind it's going to take me a week to catch up! And then we'll be visiting my son in MI and his family and I'll get behind all over again!! Glad to hear your computer problems are fixed too and thanks for your faithful comments!
@pandorasecho Thanks Dixie!

Thank you all- it's a late night, but I'll catch up on the viewing tomorrow.
