You've heard it said, "What a difference a day makes!" Well, here's living proof! On Sunday (1/22) our playground was covered with snow. On Monday (top picture), the warmer temps rolled in and the snow melted as fog enveloped the playground. Today (bottom picture), even warmer temps, sunshine and a playground that looks lonely without children playing all around it. Tomorrow? Who knows! I've stopped trying to figure out what the weather is going to do next!
Great photo, really like the before and after. We are having similar weather in Northern Illinois. Two snow storms the past two weeks on Friday, but snow is mostly gone as of today.
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @rhubbard thanks Richard- I think the whole country is experiencing the wide weather swings! @sgoodin1 Thanks Sara- playgrounds are really fun to shoot- lots of neat shapes and lines! @mrssmith Thanks Carla! Maybe I'll make this my four season shot- I haven't picked anything yet and who knows if it will snow again! @pandorasecho thanks Dixie! @cimes1 thanks Carole!
@digitalrn Thanks Rick! It is a strange one! @karenann Thanks Karenann! I know- I'm glad it was so warm that everything melted before the sun went down.
the weather's making me crazy. that vacation really set me back with my perspective on cold weather. i like your collage. really, what a difference a day makes. lovely colours, at least, to look at.
That is quite a dramatic difference between the two days!
The alphabet challenge sounds fun - not sure how well I'll do, but I'll give it a go. Have to see if I can combine some of the treasure hunt words so I can finish by the end of the month!
wow.. that is what I call a difference.. =) ..
the foggy one is very interesting.. you know you could tag it for the theme sound.. It reminded me the sounds of playing laughing talking kids..
very interesting! I love this: can't wait to see how it looks in the the hot summer:) (I suppose there will be at least green leaves on thos trees in the background)
@potsbypam lol Pam! Thanks for the comment. @summerfield Thanks Vikki- yes the colors at least perk you up- and they're bright neon! @dmariewms Thanks Marie- took a peek at the other one which seems to have some processing. But it definitely has that bleak winter's day feeling. @bkbinthecity Thanks Brian- freezing rain is dangerous! Get out the de-icer now! @adobewaters Thanks Adobe- this playground is at the community clubhouse where I swim each morning. My friend and I are there early but in the summer it's full of kids in the afternoon. @nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole! @alia_801 Thanks Alia! I'm glad I finished it a bit early. Although now I'm hitting a little slump. I think it's just the mid-winter blues. But I keep pushing through it. Finish strong- as they say! @inertie Thanks Inertia! I'll have to check that out. @woot Thanks Davide! Yes, in the summer there is a lot of green. But I'm wondering if this year it might be a little dry since we haven't had much snow so far.
@geertje Thanks Geertje! Well today it was a little cooler and at the start of the morning grey. But this afternoon the sun poked its head out and the house was nice and warm. The sun has set though now, so it's time to light the wood stove for the evening.
@jeancarl Thanks JeanCarl- you know that's not an unrealistic idea. Children love to play and climb in any season- so they'd probably love jumping off this into the snow.
