There are a few things in this life which can absolutely mesmerize you. You will stare at them for long periods of time without even realizing that the minutes and seconds are ticking away. Moving water, babies sleeping, and fish tanks, all have this power to captivate our attention, but perhaps the strongest of them all is a fire. In our house we heat by wood and our wood stove has a wonderful glass window which allows us to watch the fire as the wood burns away. Last night I pulled out my camera and took some shots of the flames. I liked the result of turning this one on its side. The title tells you what I see in this picture. What do you see in the flames?
@woot Thank you Davide! I could easily shoot of a couple hundred pictures of it! @simster Thanks Simmy! Surely appreciate the view! @raejae Thank you RaeJae! Glad you like it!

You never really know exactly what you're going to get from a flame so I was really glad to see how nice this one turned out.
Striking capture of the flames...brilliant shot! Rather than a cozy feel, I see something a bit demonic here...and the first thing I thought of were the fires of hell. YIKES! Hope I'm not sounding morbid.
@geertje Thanks Geertje- they were from a very hot fire (it'd been burning all day) and when I turned the picture on its side, they looked even bigger. @prttblues Thanks Bev! It sort of looks a little like one of your awesome light photos!
