My friend Debbie and I went out for a belated birthday celebration today. She brought me to The Grounds for Sculpture just outside of Trenton NJ. It's located on the former grounds of the NJ State Fair. There is an amazing collection of sculptures there from natural to abstract as well as beautiful water features and cultivated gardens. I'll be posting more shots from our excursion in the coming days, but for starters and in honor of the Just 4 June "Red Rose Day" I've played around with a pretty pink rose I photographed in one of their lovely gardens.
@kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @digitalrn Thank you Rick! No, this was a live one- on a beautiful bush which had lots of blooms in all different blooming stages. @taffy Thanks Taffy! It all started when I realized it was RED rose day and I had taken a shot of a PINK one thinking it was simply ROSE day. Processing to the rescue! @nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole! No, they were an average size rose blossom. It looks larger because it is a close-up but the processing really blows out the detail.
