Did some low-color processing on this shot, painting back in the vibrancy on the farm worker and chickens. I'm not sure why I find this so appealing but I do!
Terrific shot! I like the perspective that the farm worker gives the shot. Makes the building look huge. But I mostly love the b&w-ish quality, the textures and contrasts. Nicely done!
@alia_801 Thanks Alia! They sell free-range eggs. @ninaganci Thank you Nina! @allie912 Thank you Allison! I think this processing really captures the "feel" of the place. @bkbinthecity Thanks Brian! @taffy Thank you Taffy! @skstein Thank you Sandy! @wordsmith Thank you Teresa!
Thank you everyone for your comments on the processing. I wanted to catch a certain feel with it that I felt from the farm- sort of a nostalgic look back essence and something new and fresh in their organic approach. I also took this as I was heading back to my car. A storm was rolling in and I didn't want to stay there too much longer. This fellow was heading back to the field to tie up the last of the garlic bunches. I liked the movement between him and the chickens.
@cashew Thanks Kathy! I have really enjoyed this "assignment". Getting to know these farmers and watching how they operate their farms has been a great learning experience. I can't wait to see our display at the Garlic Festival.
Thank you Sally, Graham, Kerri, and Clare!
