Garlic Beauty by olivetreeann

Garlic Beauty

I had tried a high-key approach to photographing this garlic bulb I brought home from Gary's farm but I really wasn't happy with the results. But this shot is exactly what I wanted.

Oh, and I just realized this shot fits the bill for the latest technique challenge- negative space!
Seen like this - the curving lines of the bulb are quite arty!

@maggiemae I think so Maggie- it really has some of the prettiest coloration I've seen on a garlic bulb! It's the Russian Rumacole variety.

@summerfield Thanks Vikki- I will have to call this up when I'm on the main computer so I can print that out.

simple and beautiful it is!

Unusual way to look at it. Interesting composition, one expects to see the bulb placed in the bottom right corner rather than where it is. I like that you have broken the mold and placed in on the left.

Give me some olive oil, some garlic and some kale and I would eat a dish meant for kings. Gotta love garlic!
