I've seen many collages on 365 encapsulating the year's best and thought I'd join in with mine. Why I thought I could easily pick out 12 shots from my 365 album is a mystery as I have a hard time picking out photos for anything! To make matters worse, more of my "favorites" were in my second album but I'd already given myself the parameter of choosing pictures solely from my 365 Project, so I stuck with the plan and ended up with these. I think I'm an eclectic photographer because when I look at these pictures, they seem to be all over the place in style, subject matter and technique. There are a couple award-winners, some archive shots that were given new life in post-processing, and sadly all my favorite subject matters (like rust and peeling paint!) were in my other album so they are not represented here. BUT, the highlight of last year's 365 project, the shot that made the TT!! is proudly on display in the upper left, while my favorite of the same subject is in the lower right. So while the rust and paint are unaccounted for, the Moon does double duty! And where is my little pink muse? Well, she agreed that the shot of Harold and Horace playing marbles was better than most of her shots in the 365 album so Piggy bowed out.
Here's the recap according to month (you can figure out the pictures!):
January- Double the Light (steel wool set on fire)
February- Flash of Red (One little splash of red in a month of black and white)- #6 The Strat
March- Buds (The Critters and I tackled the March word list)
April- Lucy's Week #6 (my family chose 4 weekly themes for me to photograph. Lucy chose the number 4. This shot contained 4 red buttons).
May- I participated in a photo club scavenger hunt where one of the photos had to depict "Those Around Us". My cousin's wedding provided the perfect opportunity for an award winning photo.
June- The Moon on June 15th. This one's pretty obvious!
July- I gave myself a month long challenge of working on high-key processing. I pulled a shot out of my archives to finish off the month with a hot air balloon floating up into the sky.
August- Piggy and the Critters each took a week to tackle different subjects. Harold and Horace had the task of presenting 7 different games including marbles.
September- Joined in on tackling the challenge of shooting and/or cropping in a square format for this month.
October- The township made it possible for our photo club members to take a golf cart around the public course and shoot the fall foliage. The pathway among some golden beauties was a favorite shot from the second time I road around the course.
November- After being on 365 for almost 6 years, one of my pictures made it on to the Top Twenty. Wow- what an honor for my moon shot!
December- what began as desperate fooling around with an old photo so I'd have something to post, turned into a month-long symphony of color!
