PDN Expo

There were several places around the PDN Expo where photographers could shoot models in different costumes and settings. I thought about shooting this one on a level plane, but the model looked so totally bored that I thought a "Dutchman's Tilt" would bring a little excitement to her life!
I like the tilt, it works well with the draping curtains

I like the pic. although I do n`t know what means: a "Dutchman's Tilt".

Definitely an unusual POV.

It is a more creative composition this way but I'm guessing it didn't make a bit of difference to her. I love the use of black-and-white with this subject

Looks like she has gone to sleep I like your capture and tilt pity it didn't wake her up.

Love the result of your decision - those fantastic white swathes of material and their angles just dominate the bored model!

I love this setting with the curtains and lampstand. The tilt does add some excitement to the model. Well done!

I’m thinking I should step up and ask her to read my fortune. I could even offer my own crystal ball.

Interesting way to deal with the 'boredom' problem -- very effective with the swooping curtains.

@pyrrhula Thank you Ferry! Some folks call it a "tilt-shift" now. But I'm not exactly sure why it began with this name. It refers to an odd angle or an uneven horizon on your picture which has been done on purpose, not by accident.

Fascinating shot!

The model seems incidental to this shot which gives it a kind of ironic feel. It is the drapes that make the image. The tilt was a good call.

Thank you Helen- I really wanted to capture the swooping feeling of those drapes. Glad you like the tilt!
